In honor of National Adoption Month, we want to spotlight Stacie Tush, our very own Director of Performance & Risk Management. She is an incredible woman whose journey to motherhood through adoption offers hope and inspiration. Stacie’s story is a testament to love, perseverance, and the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child.

Adoption Journey

Stacie’s path to adoption was both challenging and rewarding. Emery was placed with Stacie at just four months old, marking the beginning of an extraordinary journey. Like many adoption stories, it came with its share of hurdles and uncertainties. However, Stacie’s unwavering commitment saw her through every obstacle. In April 2024, surrounded by a loving circle of family and friends, she officially became Emery’s mother. It was the most amazing day, she recalls, reflecting on the joy and fulfillment that marked the finalization of the adoption.

Connection to Emery

From the moment they met, Stacie felt a deep connection to Emery. Over their four years together, this connection blossomed into an unbreakable bond. Stacie believes their meeting was no accident, stating, “I know that God brought Emery and me together.” Through shared experiences and countless cherished moments, their relationship has grown into something truly special.

Advice for Prospective Parents

For those considering adoption, Stacie offers invaluable advice drawn from her own experiences. She emphasizes the importance of loving both the children and their biological parents, acknowledging the complex dynamics of adoption. Equally vital is having a strong support system. Understand that it truly takes a village. Stacie highlighted the need for a supportive network and a good therapist to navigate the adoption challenges.
