Annual golf tournament fundraiser benefits children and youth in Dallas & surrounding counties
Texas Family Initiative, LLC (TFI) hosted its 3rd annual golf tournament at The Nelson Golf and Sports Club on May 6, 2024, with The Miller Group as the presenting sponsor.
Alongside the presenting sponsor, TFI thanks ACS Manufacturing, Ladd Law Firm, The Reynolds Company, Accel Imaging Systems, Alice and Buddy Puente, Bank of America, Bleeker’s Metal Works, Insperity, Merrill Lynch, Peter Lyden Investments, RSH Strategies, SDG Architecture, Soulfire Brewery, Texas Select Materials and United Heartland. These generous sponsors supported kids in foster care in Dallas through this special event.
EMPOWER was this year’s benefactor. EMPOWER is a child welfare collaborative focused on meeting Texas children and families’ unique needs. TFI leads the collaborative, which is supported by local providers in North Texas, including CK Family Services, Jonathan’s Place, The Bair Foundation, and Pathways Youth and Family Services. Events such as this help provide health and dental care not covered by Medicaid, clothes, or other necessary items to kids in foster care. The goal is to provide dignity and normalcy to a child who is facing a difficult situation.
Mike Patrick, TFI CEO & President, spoke at the event’s kickoff and thanked all the teams for supporting children in foster care, “We want to thank the players who came out to enjoy a day on the course at The Nelson Club Country Club for the tournament,” said Patrick. “Events like this help make a huge difference in the lives of children we serve, and with the EMPOWER contract in Dallas, we have an even larger opportunity to help children and families succeed. We’re grateful for those who have generously supported us.”
Looking forward to next year, TFI is eager to continue building relationships with donors in the Dallas area who want to partner to help support vulnerable children and families. Donors and foster parents are essential partners who help TFI deliver quality services and support for children and families.
